Why is studio logo important?


film logos are created so that the audience can easily identify which production house has made a particular film or movie. Before the invention of television, film company logos used to be very simple. Audience get familiar with the film stdio and production company by a special or typical studio logo that has its own memory point.

It was first used in 1928s -- A personification of America: depicted as a beautify heroine.





Originated as a stunning reference image by New Orleans based photographer KATHY ANDERSON


A color version of the logo was adapted in 1943. Columbia Pictures presented two new logos from 1976 to 1993. Robert Abel, the legendary animator and visual effects pioneer was hired to make the animated version of the logo. The current Columbia Pictures logo was digitally designed in 1992 by graphic designer Michael Deas, who revived its “classic” feel.


It has changes to cater the audience taste, with apply of the color version, which is more eye-catching and audience could easily identified, also serves as a representation of the US -- improved the quality but not changing the original content and idea following the development of technology


My Own Studio Logo



My studio logo consist of this two elements, applies the style of minimalist and classic black and white color used. AL is my initial, done is a geometric style.
